The opening ceremony featured the participation of Antonio García Arias, Mayor of La Pola de Gordón and President of the Alto Bernesga Biosphere Reserve; Ramón Ángel Fernández Díaz, Vice-Rector for Infrastructure, Sustainability, and Digital Transformation at the University of León; Francisco José Cantos Mengs, Head of the International Relations and Biosphere Reserves Area of the Autonomous National Parks Agency; and Francisco Heras, Deputy Director-General for Climate Change Adaptation at the Spanish Office for Climate Change.
