As part of the implementation of the RES-MAB (PRIMA) project, aimed at developing adaptation and mitigation solutions based on the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus, ANDZOA organized a launch workshop gathering all project stakeholders. This event served as a strategic opportunity to present the project’s objectives and components and to kickstart a collaborative dynamic among key actors committed to enhancing the resilience of Mediterranean Biosphere Reserves to climate change.
Key highlights of the workshop included the presentation of the project’s objectives and allocated resources, identification of intervention areas within the Argan Biosphere Reserve, exploration of WEFE Nexus solutions to strengthen climate resilience, and an introduction to the three-layer business model framework. Discussions focused on climate challenges affecting the Argan Biosphere Reserve—particularly recurring droughts—and assessed the relevance of WEFE Nexus-based approaches for integrated and sustainable management of natural resources.
ANDZOA extends its gratitude to all partners and stakeholders for their commitment and participation. Additional meetings and workshops will be organized to ensure structured follow-up and to strengthen synergies among RES-MAB project stakeholders.
