CTFC Highlights RES-MAB Project at Mediterranean Forest Forum
Centre de Ciència i Tecnologia Forestal de Catalunya (CTFC) participated in the Mediterranean Network Forest Forum 2026 held in Valencia, bringing together experts and institutions from across the Mediterranean region.
During the forum, the RES-MAB Project was presented through a session delivered by researcher Esteve Viñals, who showcased his PhD research linking socioeconomic resilience with Biosphere Reserves.
The presentation highlighted the importance of integrating environmental conservation with sustainable development, emphasizing innovative approaches that support local livelihoods and strengthen community resilience to environmental challenges.
This participation reflects CTFC’s ongoing commitment to advancing applied research and fostering regional collaboration in sustainable forest management across the Mediterranean.
